The Challenge

Our client, Matt Inch, initially considered underfloor heating to replace the electric panel heaters throughout his large detached bungalow. However, this would have required costly and disruptive floor excavation. Climate Control:

Heat Pump & Controls:

• Vaillant sensoCOMFORT smart control with weather and load compensation
• myVAILLANT Connect gateway for remote monitoring and smartphone control

Hot Water:

• Vaillant uniSTOR 250HP unvented 250-litre hot water cylinder (replacing obsolete vented cylinder)

The system now provides heating, cooling, and filtered air to two living rooms, two bedrooms, shower rooms, dining room, kitchen, utility, and storage areas.

The Installation Process

We completed the entire installation in just five days, working closely with Bell Plumbing Supplies, Unico System's UK Distribution Partner. While we encountered some challenges accessing tight loft spaces and accommodated client requests to reposition certain elements (such as moving the air intake grille from kitchen to hallway), our experience and planning ensured a smooth, non-disruptive installation.

Outstanding Results

The performance data speaks for itself:

• March 2025 Heating COP: 4.4 (producing 4.4 units of heat for every 1 unit of electricity)
• May 2025 Hot Water COP: 3.2
• July 2025 Cooling COP: 4.8 (producing 4.8 units of cooling per unit of electricity)

These figures, confirmed through the myVAILLANT Pro installer portal, demonstrate significant electricity savings compared to the previous electric panel heaters.
